Job summary

Haeusler's Group in Echuca is seeking an experienced Service Foreman to lead the service team at the Echuca Dealership. You will oversee technicians, mentor apprentices, and coordinate parts and diagnostics to ensure high-quality repairs.

This role offers ongoing training, access to John Deere University, and a pathway to advance within a multi-site organisation. A strong customer service focus and leadership ability are essential as you help drive efficiency and vehicle readiness.

Qualifications

• 3+ years’ experience as a Service Technician.
• Fully qualified Diesel Mechanic trade qualification.
• Ability to lead others.
• Familiar with John Deere and competitive products.
• Ability to write and speak effectively to individuals and groups.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Proficient with MS Office and general internet use.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Forklift licence preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintains communication with Service Supervisor to assign jobs according to technicians' skills and knowledge.
• Manages and resolves parts requirements to minimise delays.
• Mentors Service Technicians throughout the repair process.
• Directs and assists in diagnosing machine problems with Service Technicians and Apprentices.
• Inspects and maintains tools and workshop equipment; submits expenditure requests as needed.
• Provides training recommendations to the Aftermarket Manager.
• Oversees service technician work standards and assists with pre-delivery of new units.
• Provides technical phone support to customers.

We are looking for an experienced and qualified Service Technician who is looking to take the next step in their career as a full‑time Service Foreman at our Echuca Dealership. The Role

You will be responsible for performing a range of tasks including, but not limited to:

• Maintains communication with Service Supervisor in ensuring Technicians assigned jobs are appropriately assigned to Technicians according to their skills and knowledge.
• Manages and resolves parts requirements for technicians by sourcing additional, incorrect or missing parts to minimise delays.
• Mentors Service Technicians throughout the repair process to ensure servicing and repairs are carried out to an acceptable standard.
• Directs and assists in the diagnosis of machine problems with Service Technicians and Apprentices.
• Inspects and maintains special tools and workshop equipment and submits expenditure requests as required.
• Provides the Aftermarket Manager with Service Technicians training recommendations.
• Oversees Service Technician work standards and works with them to improve deficiencies, focusing on pre‑delivery of new units.
• Provides technical phone support to customers.

To be successful you will need:

• 3+ years’ experience as a Service Technician.
• Fully qualified Diesel Mechanic trade qualification.
• Ability to lead others.
• Familiar with John Deere and competitive products.
• Ability to write and speak effectively to individuals and groups.

• Ability to use standard desktop load applications such as Microsoft Office and internet functions.
