Job summary

Seven West Media is seeking a Service Desk Technician to join our team in Western Australia. You will provide frontline IT support, troubleshoot issues across hardware, software and connectivity, and assist with end-user devices and applications including Microsoft 365.

The ideal candidate is customer-focused with solid communication skills and a desire to grow technical expertise in a dynamic media environment. Onsite role with parking and wellbeing initiatives included.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Windows operating systems and Microsoft 365 applications.
• Understanding of hardware, mobile devices, peripherals and basic networking concepts including Wi-Fi and VPNs.

About The Role

• Providing first-level support for technology incidents, service requests, and enquiries.
• Troubleshooting hardware, software, device, and connectivity issues.
• Supporting desktops, laptops, mobile devices, printers, and Microsoft 365 applications.
• Managing user accounts, password resets, access requests, VPNs, and multi-factor authentication.
• Logging, prioritising, and resolving tickets in line with service levels.
• Escalating complex issues to specialist teams with clear documentation.
• Maintaining accurate records and contributing to support documentation and knowledge articles.
• Assisting with meeting room technology and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

About You

You're an aspiring IT professional with a strong customer service mindset, excellent communication skills, and a genuine desire to learn and grow your technical expertise.

You'll Bring

• A qualification in Information Technology or relevant industry certifications.
• Knowledge of Windows operating systems and Microsoft 365 applications.
• Understanding of hardware, mobile devices, peripherals, and basic networking concepts, including Wi‑Fi and VPNs.
• Experience with service desk or ticketing systems (desirable).
• The ability to explain technical concepts in a clear and user‑friendly way.
• Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and a collaborative approach.
