Job summary

Seven West Media is seeking a Broadcast Technologist for our Watson, ACT facility. You will support live TV and pre-recorded shows, troubleshoot broadcast equipment, and ensure smooth technical workflows. The role reports to the Technical Services Supervisor and includes on-site parking.

The ideal candidate thrives under deadlines, has a passion for technology, and can clearly explain complex technical situations affecting production.

A day in the life…

As a “Broadcast Technologist” you will contribute to the successful operations of the facility producing live TV and pre‑recorded shows within the Seven Broadcast Team, based in vibrant Watson, ACT our purpose production facility, you will report into the Technical Services Supervisor. You will also have free parking on site!

More Specifically, What You’ll Do
  • Provide support to news and production teams both phone and the continuity of production facilities, through fault finding broadcast equipment and technology workflows.
  • Follow preventative maintenance schedules including the patching of equipment.
  • Install equipment and reconfigure as per line drawings and project plans.
What will you need?
  • To be interested in technology with aptitude for logic problem solving
  • Be able to thrive on working to a deadline
  • Ability to clearly articulate complex technology scenarios affecting production of content.
  • Experience understanding and maintaining broadcast technologies.
