Job summary

Drakes Supermarkets in South Australia is seeking a dedicated Store Manager – Deli to lead the department like a standalone store. You will drive stock accuracy, increase sales and gross profit, and coach your team to deliver outstanding customer service.

Reporting to the Store Manager and Deli Supervisor, you will ensure food hygiene and safety, meet KPI targets, and foster a positive, capable team in a busy retail environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a similar role in retail.
• Knowledge of fresh food department operations.

The Role

Reporting directly to the Store Manager and Deli Supervisor, this successful applicant will be responsible for managing the department as if it were their own store.

Some of the key tasks include ensuring accurate stock management and compliance, monitoring and achieving sales, and gross profit targets, train, coach and developing your team, all while ensuring the department consistently meets food health and safety requirements.

This is a full-time salaried position.

Availability Requirements

• Monday-Friday between 7am-4pm
• Fortnightly rotation of a Saturday or Sunday shift
• Ability to be flexible during periods of team leave.
