Job summary

Drakes Supermarkets is seeking a motivated Service Deli team member to support day-to-day operations and ensure a smooth deli department. You will help coach the team, manage production tasks, place orders and assist with rostering.

With on-the-job training and a strong commitment to customer service, you will contribute to a fast-paced, hands-on environment and help uphold the company’s standards across products, safety and costs.

Qualifications

• Fresh food retail knowledge preferred.
• Ability to supervise a team and coach staff.
• Understanding of ordering, cost control, and gross profit.
• Accurate team rostering and shift planning.
• Excellent communication with team and management.
• Commitment to work health and safety standards.

About the role:

Reporting directly to the Service Deli Manager, this successful applicant will be responsible for assisting with the day-to-day running of the stores service deli, to ensure the smooth operation of the department and it’s team.

If successful, you will be required to assist with managing and coaching the team, completing production, actioning orders, generating rosters + much more!

Working as a part of an enthusiastic team, in a highly competitive supermarket environment, applicants will be expected to demonstrate:
