Job summary

Macmahon Underground is returning to New Zealand to staff the Snowy River Gold Mine Project near Reefton. We’re recruiting experienced Service Crew to install, maintain and repair underground services as part of development, production and backfill works.

The ideal candidate has at least 12 months’ underground mining experience in a Service Crew role, a Valid NZ Class 1 driver's licence (DG endorsement desirable) and a Working at Heights Licence.

Qualifications

• Minimum 12 months of underground mining experience in a Service Crew role.
• Ability to work independently and within a team.
• Valid Class 1 NZ driver's licence with DG endorsement (essential/desirable).
• Working at Heights Licence (essential).

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and troubleshoot underground infrastructure, including ventilation, water and air services.
• Complete pre-start inspections, report hazards or defects, and follow site plans.
• Contribute to a people-first culture and live our Winning Values.
• Help teammates, share knowledge and support a strong crew culture.

About the Role

Macmahon Underground is returning to New Zealand and seeking experienced Service Crew to join the Snowy River Gold Mine Project near Reefton on New Zealand’s South Island. Macmahon will be delivering underground development, production and backfill services as part of this exciting project.

Service Crew are integral to our underground mining operations and is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of essential underground services. We are seeking safety-focused individuals who are committed to maintaining high operational standards, supporting production activities, and contributing to a strong team culture.

Responsibilities

• Complete pre-start inspections, report hazards or defects, and follow site plans, instructions and traffic management procedures.

What You’ll Bring

• Minimum 12 months’ underground mining experience in a Service Crew role.
• Ability to work independently and within a team.
• Valid Class 1 (unrestricted manual) New Zealand drivers licence (essential) with a Dangerous Goods (D) endorsement (desirable).
• Valid Working at Heights Licence (essential).
