Job summary

Liebherr Australia Pty Ltd is seeking a Service Coordinator to join the Mobile Cranes team in Melbourne. You will coordinate day-to-day service operations, manage workflows, technician allocation, crane movements and WIP, and act as the main contact for customers and technicians.

Ideal candidates will be Highly organised with crane experience, strong customer service skills and a proactive problem-solving approach.

Qualifications

• Highly organised with the ability to own and coordinate a complex service operation.
• Experience in a Service Coordinator or similar operational role.
• Experience in heavy equipment or mobile cranes.
• Strong customer service and stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of scheduling and coordinating service activities across workshop and field operations.
• Act as a key point of contact for customers, technicians, suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Coordinate technician resources, parts, tooling and equipment to meet priorities.
• Manage movement and arrival of cranes and components to support build and delivery.
• Own Work in Progress, including opening/closing jobs, costing and quotations.
• Monitor graphical planner and MMS for accurate visibility of work.
• Coordinate warranty, modification and service work.
• Provide operational reporting and identify issues before impact.
• Guide service team members to maintain efficient workflow.
• Collaborate with Sales, Parts, Payroll, Administration and contractors.

Service Coordinator - Mobile Cranes - Dandenong South

Liebherr Australia is seeking an experienced Service Coordinator to join our Mobile Cranes team. This is more than a traditional Service Coordinator position. You will play a key role in coordinating the day-to-day service operation across the region, taking ownership of workflow, customer requirements, technician allocation, crane movements, WIP and overall service delivery. Working closely with the Service Manager and wider Mobile Cranes team, you will be a central point of contact for customers and technicians and will help ensure our service operations are delivered safely, efficiently and to the highest standard.

What You'll Be Responsible For

• Take ownership of scheduling and coordinating service activities across workshop and field operations.
• Act as a key point of contact for customers, technicians, suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Coordinate technician resources, parts, tooling and equipment to meet customer and operational priorities.
• Manage the movement and arrival of cranes and components, ensuring everything is coordinated in the correct sequence to support build and delivery requirements.
• Take ownership of Work in Progress (WIP), including opening and closing jobs, job costing, quotations and ensuring work is progressed and finalised within required timeframes.
• Monitor and maintain the graphical planner and MMS to ensure accurate visibility of current and upcoming work.
• Coordinate warranty, modification and service work.
• Provide clear operational reporting and identify potential issues before they impact customers or service delivery.
• Provide guidance and direction to members of the service team and help maintain an efficient workflow across the department.
• Work closely with Sales, Parts, Payroll, Administration, suppliers and contractors to ensure a seamless service operation.
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and contribute to improving service processes and performance.
• Promote a strong safety culture and ensure work is completed in accordance with HSE, quality and legislative requirements.

About You

What we're looking for

We're looking for someone who firstly is HIGHLY ORGANISED, can take ownership, make decisions and confidently coordinate a complex service operation. You will ideally have:

• Liebherr experience and Mobile Crane experience
• Previous experience in a Service Coordinator, Service Advisor, Workshop Coordinator, Service Planner or similar operational role.
• Experience working within a heavy equipment, mobile plant, crane, automotive, mining, transport or related technical environment.
• Strong customer service and stakeholder management skills.
• Excellent organisational and scheduling skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities.
• Strong commercial awareness and experience managing WIP, job costing or service administration.
• The confidence to coordinate technicians and resources and keep work moving.
• High attention to detail and strong computer skills.
• The ability to communicate effectively with customers, technicians, managers and other stakeholders.
• A proactive approach to identifying problems and finding practical solutions.

A recognised trade qualification in Mechanical, Electrical or Electronics would be highly regarded, as would a Certificate III in Business Administration or similar.
