Tandem Partners is seeking a Senior Workplace Relations Advisor to support a large, multi-site organisation across Australia. You will deliver high‑quality workplace relations advice and help shape how the function operates into the future.

The role covers end-to-end casework, policy development and engagement with leaders to mitigate risk while ensuring compliant, human‑centred outcomes.

Qualifications

• Experience in large, complex, multi-site environments.
• Strong knowledge of the Fair Work Act and Australian employment legislation.
• Experience across multiple Australian jurisdictions and providing workplace relations support at scale.
• Independent management of complex investigations, performance, conduct and employee relations matters.
• Experience preparing submissions and responding to matters before the Fair Work Commission, including conciliation.
• Exposure to unionised environments and enterprise bargaining is advantageous.
• Experience in healthcare, critical services or highly regulated environments is a plus.
• Strong relationship-building skills with executives and frontline leaders.
• Pragmatic, commercial approach with risk awareness.
• Collaborative, human-centred style with resilience in challenging conversations.

Responsibilities

• Manage complex employee and workplace relations matters end-to-end, including investigations and performance issues.
• Provide advice on the Fair Work Act, NES, modern awards, enterprise agreements and related legislation.
• Partner with leaders to assess risk and develop practical, lawful solutions.
• Prepare submissions and represent the organisation before the Fair Work Commission and tribunals.
• Coach leaders to handle workplace relations matters consistently.
• Draft and enhance workplace relations policies and employment documentation.
• Identify emerging issues and recommend process improvements.
• Interpret enterprise agreements and support broader industrial relations work.
