Job summary

West Moreton Health in Ipswich, Queensland, seeks a Senior Workplace Relations Advisor to provide strategic guidance on industrial relations, awards and enterprise agreements.

You will partner with HR Business Partners and executives to interpret legislation, resolve complex matters, and advise on best practices for enterprise bargaining. Qualifications

• Extensive experience in HR, workplace relations, employment law and/or industrial relations.
• Strong knowledge of legislation, Enterprise Agreements and Awards interpretation.
• Knowledge of contemporary HR strategies, systems and processes.
• Ability to deliver accurate workplace relations advice to HR Partners and Executives.
• Excellent interpersonal, influencing, negotiation and communication skills.
• Experience solving complex problems with sound judgement.

Responsibilities

• Provide advice to manage complex workplace relations casework across industrial relations, awards, EBAs and disputes.
• Support HR Business Partners with workplace relations matters and resolution of complex issues.
• Interpret EBAs and Awards to correctly apply industrial entitlements and provisions.
• Assist the Principal Workplace Relations Advisor with innovative solutions to critical issues.

The Key Responsibilities Of The Role Include

• Provide advice to support the effective management of complex workplace relations casework in the areas of industrial relations and disputes, awards and enterprise bargaining implementation, advocacy in QIRC and other tribunals, regulatory and legal compliance, corrupt conduct, employee complaints and grievances, public interest disclosures, disciplinary processes, investigations, employment related litigations, appeals and ill health retirements
• Provide advice and support to Human Resource Business Partners in relation to workplace relations matters and to resolve complex workplace relations issues.
• Provide advice on more complex EB and Award interpretations to support the appropriate application of industrial entitlements and provisions
• Under the guidance of the Principal Workplace Relations Advisor, implement innovative and effective solutions to address critical workplace relations issues.

What We're Looking For

Our ideal candidate will be someone who can demonstrate the following:

• Extensive experience in HR, workplace relations, employment law and/or industrial relations.
• Thorough knowledge of interpretation and implementation of legislation, Enterprise Agreements and Awards
• Thorough knowledge of contemporary human resources strategies, systems, frameworks and processes.
• Ability to provide accurate and dependable workplace relations advice and consultancy services to HR Business Partners and Executive members across the range of workplace relations functions.
• Excellent interpersonal, influencing, negotiation and communication skills.
• Experience in solving very complex problems, analysing issues from various perspectives and exercising sound, independent judgement.
