Job summary

West Moreton Hospital and Health Service is seeking a leader for a six‑month project role focused on recruitment and workforce development across Prison and Youth Detention Health Services. You will work closely with nursing leaders and support services to deliver safe, high‑quality patient care through innovative recruitment initiatives.

The role emphasises strategic workforce planning, stakeholder engagement and practical improvements in workforce capacity to support nursing teams.

  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong relationships, open communication and a positive environment within a team, actively contributing to the learning and development of others to a high standard.
  • Demonstrated management experience and capability with an ability and commitment to work
  • Demonstrated data analysis; outcome evaluation; service improvement and development
  • Demonstrated management knowledge and skills specifically human resource management and advanced financial literacy within the healthcare environment.

About The Role

This exciting new 6-month temporary project role opportunity offers the chance to make a significant organisational impact while further developing your leadership, recruitment and workforce management expertise. Working closely with nursing leaders and support services across Prison and Youth Detention Health Services, you will drive innovative recruitment initiatives, strengthen workforce capacity, and help ensure our services are well-positioned to deliver safe, high-quality patient care.

In this influential role, you'll gain valuable exposure to strategic workforce planning, stakeholder engagement and nursing workforce initiatives, while contributing to solutions that directly support our nursing teams.

Mandatory Requirements
  • Vaccinated against, and remain vaccinated against, certain vaccine preventable diseases (VPD) as outlined in the Health Employment Directive NO. 01/16
  • Appointment to this position requires proof of qualification and registration or membership with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (Ahpra).
