Job summary

The Building & Plumbing Commission (BPC) in Melbourne is seeking a Senior Workforce Planner on a fixed-term basis until 30 June 2027 to lead strategic and operational workforce planning, forecasting resource needs and managing rosters.

Using data-driven insights, you will align staffing with demand, standardise reporting, and drive continuous improvement across operations and support services.

Qualifications

• Experience leading operational reporting and analysing workforce data.
• Ability to present insights to support strategic decisions.
• At least three years' workforce management experience in call centres or similar environments.
• Experience forecasting, scheduling, rostering and workforce planning processes.
• Ability to coordinate resources and adapt plans to changing demands.
• Strong analytical skills focused on continuous improvement and efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Lead workforce planning for the BPC, including forecasting resource needs.
• Develop and manage staff rosters; allocate work and monitor capacity.
• Produce performance and capacity reports and drive continuous improvement.
• Act as liaison between operations and support services to optimise staffing.
