Job summary

Zurich Australia is recruiting a Senior Claims Advisor for a 12-month contract within our General Insurance Complex Claims team. You will manage a portfolio of Workers Compensation claims, provide technical guidance, and partner with legal and rehabilitation providers to achieve optimal outcomes for injured workers and employers.

You will bring significant experience in WA Workers Compensation claims, strong analytical skills, and a customer-focused, collaborative approach.

Qualifications

• Significant experience managing Workers Compensation claims, ideally within the WA market.
• Strong technical claims capability with experience handling complex or litigated claims.
• Exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Demonstrated experience providing advice, coaching, or mentoring to colleagues.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills across diverse audiences.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to make sound and timely decisions.
• A solid understanding of governance, risk management, and claims operating practices.

Responsibilities

• Managing a portfolio of Workers Compensation claims, including complex matters from notification through to resolution.
• Providing technical guidance and acting as a senior referral point within the Workers Compensation team.
• Partnering with legal and rehabilitation providers to achieve the best claims outcomes.
• Supporting injured workers, customers, brokers, and employers to facilitate successful return to work outcomes.
• Ensuring claims activities comply with governance, regulatory, and quality requirements.
• Building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders while contributing to strategic initiatives.
