Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a Principal Consultant to bridge business and technical teams on Workday HCM implementations. You will drive design, configuration, testing and deployment across multiple client projects, mentoring teammates and leading sessions to deliver practical solutions aligned with client needs.

You will leverage deep Workday expertise, engage in all project phases, and guide customers through complex transformations with a focus on quality and timelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent is required.
• Certification in Workday HCM, Core Compensation, and Advanced Compensation or Talent.
• 5+ years of Workday HCM functional implementation experience.
• 5 years HR, Payroll, or Financial software experience.
• 5 years implementing functional solutions with ERP or SaaS software.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Bridge business and technical teams to solve Workday intersystem problems.
• Guide clients through design, configuration, testing, and implementation.
• Recommend solutions based on client requirements, budget, and timeframe.
• Lead design sessions, configuration decisions, and best-practice approaches.
• Support clients through all project phases and ensure smooth data transfer.
• Lead and mentor other consultants; potential lead role on projects.
• Demonstrate hands-on Workday expertise in data loading and configuration.
