Adelaide Onsite | PV Clearance Required | AU Citizenship | 12m + 12m + 12m Contract | $165 – $180 p/h | Closing: 23 June 2026
Not all Windows engineering roles are created equal. This one puts you inside one of Australia's most sensitive operational environments, where the platforms you build directly underpin national security capability. Embedded within the Australian Signals Directorate (ASD), you will design, deploy and sustain Windows server infrastructure across physical, virtualised and enterprise environments, owning everything from Active Directory and PKI through to image builds, VMware integration and server automation.
This is hands on engineering at SFIA Level 5, with the autonomy to shape design decisions and the scope to lead installation and migration activity end to end. If you bring deep Windows server expertise, a security mindset, and enjoy working where the stakes and the standards are genuinely high, this role is built for you.
You will lead the engineering and sustainment of Windows server platforms that support critical digital services within ASD. The role spans design, build and operations across Active Directory, PKI, DNS, Remote Desktop Services and WSUS, with strong integration into VMware, MFA, and broader security tooling.
You will work at SFIA Level 5 on systems design and installation, taking responsibility for complex builds, migrations and decommissioning activity, while operating at Level 4 on problem management and Level 3 on scripting and automation. Expect to work closely with security, infrastructure and operations teams in a high assurance environment.
By submitting your application, you consent to Orro sharing your personal details directly with Remote (remote.com.au) as part of the recruitment process for this role. Reference: LH-06922
