Job summary

Bethanie is recruiting a General Manager – Work, Health and Safety to lead the development and delivery of our WHS strategy. This senior role partners with executive leaders to strengthen governance, uplift leadership capability and embed a proactive safety culture across diverse services and locations.

The ideal candidate will bring tertiary WHS qualifications and a proven ability to drive strategic safety outcomes in a highly regulated environment. Flexible, hybrid work options available in WA.

Qualifications

• Strategic leader with track record delivering WHS improvements
• Experience leading safety strategies and management systems
• Strong influencer with senior leaders to drive culture change
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
• Deep knowledge of WHS legislation and standards

Responsibilities

• Lead a high-performing safety team spanning WHS, injury management and emergency management
• Partner with leaders to strengthen accountability and capability in health and safety
• Lead and evolve WHS strategy, frameworks and systems
• Drive continuous improvement in safety performance, governance and risk management
• Provide expert advice on complex safety, compliance and legislative matters
• Oversee emergency planning, business preparedness and response planning
• Monitor legislation and industry trends to ensure ongoing compliance
• Champion a positive safety culture prioritising wellbeing and learning
