Job summary

Aquatec Maxcon in Australia seeks a experienced Process Engineer to provide design input and technical support for proposals and project delivery. You will undertake process and hydraulic design of water treatment equipment and systems, and perform analyses to optimise safety, quality and cost.

You will review designs during construction and commissioning, perform design sign‑offs, conduct risk assessments, and support client relationships across public and private sector water projects.

Qualifications

• Degree in Chemical or Process Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years Australian process design engineering experience.
• RPEQ accreditation or actively working toward registration.
• Willingness to travel and provide commissioning support at remote sites when required.
• Experience working with government clients will be highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Provide process engineering support, technical advice, and design input for proposals and project delivery.
• Undertake process and hydraulic design of water treatment equipment and systems.
• Perform engineering analysis to optimise plant safety, quality, and cost performance.
• Provide engineering review, quality assurance, and design sign-off during construction and commissioning, including performance testing.
• Review completed plant and process designs to identify opportunities for optimisation.
• Conduct risk assessments and participate in HAZOPs and safety-in-design reviews.
• Assist in developing and maintaining strong client relationships.
