Job summary

AECOM is seeking an experienced Senior Water Infrastructure Engineer based in Townsville or Rockhampton, Australia, with a hybrid work model. You will lead water infrastructure design for pipelines, pump stations and treatment projects, manage delivery from BD through design to construction, and mentor junior staff.

The role offers visa sponsorship support for the right candidate and a pathway to grow within a global engineering leader delivering regional and national water solutions.

Qualifications

• Relevant tertiary qualifications and professional registration are essential.
• Experience leading complex multidisciplinary water projects.
• Ability to guide and mentor junior engineers and designers.
• Proven ability to develop and maintain client relationships.

Responsibilities

• Apply water infrastructure design skills to local and national projects.
• Lead project delivery from business development through design to construction, including commercial aspects.
• Provide technical leadership with multidisciplinary teams and ensure quality, budget adherence.
