Job summary

SYSTRA is seeking an experienced Water Infrastructure Engineer to lead design packages and deliver water and wastewater projects in NSW. You will mentor team members and collaborate with clients and authorities to ensure compliant, safe infrastructure.

The role requires a Chartered Engineer and civil engineering background, with WSAA knowledge and Civil 3D proficiency. Hybrid work arrangements available in NSW and broader APAC region.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering required. Chartered Engineer status essential or imminent.
• Experience in consulting or engineering within the water sector preferred.
• Strong knowledge of water networks, treatment plants, and industry codes (WSAA).

Responsibilities

• Lead civil design packages from concept to detailed design.
• Support constructability, staging and project delivery.
• Contribute to technical governance and engineering standards.
• Mentor junior team members.
• Work across treatment plants, pump stations, pipelines and related infrastructure.
• Build strong relationships with clients, including Sydney Water and local councils.
