Job summary

African Underground Mining Services seeks a Senior Mining Engineer for our Australian operations with a 6 weeks on, 4 weeks off FIFO roster. The role supports Site Project Managers and Mine Foremen on technical mining issues, analyzes mining physicals and site costs, and integrates with the client technical services team.

Minimum 5 years underground mining experience and a Bachelor's in mining engineering are required, along with relevant certificates and a strong safety mindset.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years underground mining experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in mining engineering.
• Underground Supervisors Certificate or FCMM.
• Senior First Aid Certificate.
• Knowledge of reporting templates and safety culture.

Responsibilities

• Comply with HS&E policies and safe work practices.
• Assist site managers with mining issues and costs.
• Monitor production and report monthly performance.
• Prepare monthly claims and budgets.
• Manage mining contracts and costs.
• Mentor graduates and engineers.
