Job summary

SLR's Mining Advisory Group in Australia is seeking a Principal Underground Consultant to lead end-to-end technical studies across multiple jurisdictions. Based in Brisbane, Sydney, Adelaide or Perth, you will guide multi-disciplinary teams and engage stakeholders to translate complex mine data into strategic advice.

You will bring 10–15 years in metalliferous underground mining, a mining engineering degree (Masters preferred), Chartered status, and proven capability in mine design, stope

Qualifications

• 10–15 years of experience in a metalliferous underground mining environment.
• Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering; postgraduate qualifications are highly desirable.
• Chartered Professional status and AusIMM membership preferred.
• Experience with project management, risk management and financial analysis.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end execution of complex technical studies.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams to deliver projects on time and within budget.
• Engage stakeholders and translate engineering data into strategic insights.
• Guide mine planning, capital and operating cost estimation, and economic evaluations.
• Contribute to scoping, pre-feasibility and feasibility studies.
