Job summary

Newmont Tanami seeks an Electrical Supervisor to lead underground electrical maintenance within the Fixed Plant Maintenance Department. You will guide safety-focused teams and ensure compliance with mining standards while delivering reliable electrical services at a world-class remote operation.

This role reports to the Superintendent, with a FIFO 8/6 roster, offering opportunities to mentor staff, optimise maintenance plans, and collaborate with Planning, Reliability and Procurement to improve

Qualifications

Electrical trade qualification with HV switching, supported by mining certifications or a mining qualification.
Strong experience coordinating electrical maintenance in a mining environment.
Sound understanding of underground maintenance practices and compliance.
Prior SAP knowledge is an advantage.

Responsibilities

Lead the planning and execution of underground electrical maintenance activities, ensuring safety and compliance with standards.
Coordinate preventive and predictive maintenance to optimise reliability and minimise downtime.
Coordinate daily activities aligned with mine plans and schedules.
Support team development through mentoring, feedback and training.
Monitor safety compliance through audits and risk assessments.
Collaborate with Planning, Reliability and Procurement to improve equipment performance.
Manage contractor performance and ensure maintenance specifications are met.
Report on KPIs and provide insights to senior leadership.
