National Workforce Pty Ltd is seeking a Senior UI Designer for a 12‑month contract to help deliver accessible, intuitive, and visually compelling user interfaces for a major digital transformation program. The role requires collaborative work with multidisciplinary teams and translating ideas into polished interactive experiences.

The position supports hybrid work with six weeks onsite, and candidates should live within reasonable travel time to Canberra.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in a senior UI design role.
• Strong capability in accessible, inclusive design and UX best practices.
• Experience with data visualisation, including graphs and map visualisations.
• Ability to rapidly prototype and convert designs into interactive code.
• Experience establishing and governing a UI component library or design system.
• Skilled in workshops, user research and usability testing.

Responsibilities

• Lead UI design across web and application interfaces.
• Apply accessible design principles to ensure usability for all users.
• Create complex data visualisations, including graphs and map visualisations.
• Rapidly prototype and convert static designs into interactive code.
• Establish and govern a UI component library or design system.
• Facilitate workshops and usability testing with multidisciplinary teams.
• Collaborate with UX, product, engineering and stakeholders to deliver high-quality outcomes.
