Job summary

DFP Recruitment is seeking a UX/UI Designer for a federal government client on a 12-month contract with potential extension. The role supports hybrid working arrangements with three days per week onsite across ACT, VIC and NSW.

You will apply specialist experience in user research, interaction design and prototyping to shape and improve digital products used by participants, providers and staff, while collaborating with product managers, developers and stakeholders to deliver accessible,

Qualifications

• Experience applying human-centred design to deliver digital products and services.
• Ability to translate user research into practical, accessible design solutions.
• Experience collaborating with product managers, developers and stakeholders to deliver outcomes.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
• Experience in government/public sector or highly regulated environments.
• Experience contributing to design systems and governance frameworks.
• Proficiency with contemporary UX/UI tools (Figma, FigJam, Miro or similar).
• Experience supporting digital transformation or large-scale change initiatives.

DFP Recruitment is seeking the UX/ UI Designers for our federal government client. UX/UI Designer, you will apply specialist experience design expertise to help shape and improve digital products and services used by participants, providers and staff.

Skills:

• Demonstrated experience applying human-centred design methodologies to deliver user-centred digital products and services, including user research, interaction design, interface design, prototyping, testing and validation.
• Demonstrated ability to translate user needs, research insights and business requirements into practical, accessible and evidence-based design solutions in complex environments.
• Experience collaborating effectively within multidisciplinary teams, working with product managers, business analysts, developers, researchers and stakeholders to deliver successful outcomes.
• Strong stakeholder engagement, communication and facilitation skills, with demonstrated ability to influence decisions and communicate design rationale to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Experience working within government, public sector or highly regulated environments.
• Experience contributing to or working with design systems, component libraries and design governance frameworks.
• Experience using contemporary UX/UI design and prototyping tools such as Figma, FigJam, Miro or similar.
• Experience supporting digital transformation, service reform or large-scale organisational change initiatives.
