Job summary

Laing O’Rourke in Sydney is seeking a Senior Treasury Analyst to join the finance team in our head office. Reporting to the Head of Finance Services & Treasury, you will gain broad treasury experience and build a rewarding career within a privately owned Tier 1 constructor and international engineering enterprise.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in treasury or corporate finance with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Tertiary qualification in finance, commerce, economics or related numerical discipline; CA or CPA preferred.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.

Responsibilities

• Managing cash flow forecasting, daily funding and bank administration
• Supporting ad hoc projects and financial analysis
• Driving process improvement and process documentation across key Treasury activities
• Assisting with the management of risk exposures
• Assisting with the preparation of routine and ad hoc treasury reporting
• Managing the ongoing issuance and administration of surety bonding and guarantees
• Monitoring and maintaining bank accounts and balances, resolving any outstanding banking issues
• Working with the Treasurer on the continual development of our Treasury function

Key responsibilities

About you

• Tertiary qualification in finance, commerce, economics or a related numerical discipline; CA or CPA preferred but not essential
• 5+ years’ experience in treasury or corporate finance, with strong analytical, critical thinking and problem solving capability
• Demonstrated experience across treasury disciplines such as cash and liquidity management, financial risk management, transactional banking, treasury management systems and treasury operational controls
• Strong numerical and modelling skills with good attention to detail
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to partner with and influence non-finance stakeholders
• Able to manage and deliver multiple assignments of varying priority and difficulty, working effectively under tight deadlines and pressure
