Sydney Metro is seeking a senior professional to lead metropolitan-scale, integrated transport planning for the Sydney Metro West project. You will drive customer-focused, accessible and sustainable outcomes while coordinating across government and community stakeholders.

You will manage interchanges and integration between transport modes, oversee service standard changes, and lead teams in a matrix structure, including external contractors. This fixed-term role runs until 29 December 2028.

Qualifications

• Well developed leadership, project planning and management expertise.
• Strong stakeholder engagement experience to liaise with delivery partners, TfNSW, government agencies, local councils and stakeholders.
• Demonstrated experience in transport planning for rail and other modes.
• Ability to balance customer and transport outcomes and cost effectiveness.
• Knowledge of current transport systems across Greater Sydney and integration of new systems.
• Relevant tertiary qualifications in planning, engineering or transport infrastructure fields.

• Shape Sydney’s future through metropolitan scale, integrated transport planning for the Sydney Metro West project.
• Facilitate planning collaboration across government and community stakeholders.
• Manage and delivery Sydney Metro interchanges and integration between existing transport modes, including changes to service standards and network plans.
• Collaborate across the Transport Cluster to align strategic policy initiatives.
• Foster an evidence-based culture using robust analyses including transport, pedestrian and intersection modelling.
• Lead and manage teams within a matrix structure, including external contractors.
