Job summary

Transport for NSW invites applications for a Senior Manager Transport Planning role at Sydney Metro West in Sydney. You will lead metropolitan scale transport planning, coordinate across agencies and communities, and oversee interchanges and integration with other transport modes to drive improved outcomes.

The role requires leadership, stakeholder engagement, and demonstrated rail/multi-modal transport planning experience, with a focus on evidence-based decision making and policy alignment

Qualifications

• Well developed leadership, project planning and management expertise.
• Strong stakeholder engagement experience with delivery partners and agencies.
• Experience in transport planning for rail and other modes.
• Ability to communicate outcomes balancing customer and transport goals.
• Knowledge of current Sydney transport systems and ability to integrate new services.

Responsibilities

• Shape Sydney’s future through metropolitan scale, integrated transport planning for the Sydney Metro West project.
• Facilitate planning collaboration across government and community stakeholders.
• Manage Sydney Metro interchanges and integration between existing transport modes.
• Oversee changes to service standards, network plans, priority and existing contracts.
• Collaborate to align strategic policy initiatives across the Transport Cluster.
• Lead and manage teams within a matrix structure, including external contractors.
