Job summary

Lineage AUS TRS Pty Ltd is seeking a Senior Transport Planning Analyst to own optimisation across our national network. You will lead transport planning initiatives, review TMS outputs, and drive improvements in cost efficiency, load utilisation, and service outcomes.

The role requires collaboration with operations, finance and safety teams, plus coaching planning staff and supporting system enhancements for continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in transport planning and optimisation.
• Proven ability to analyse transport data and translate insights into actions.
• Experience with TMS platforms (Blue Yonder, ORTEC or similar).

We're now looking to appoint a strategic, data-focused Senior Transport Planning Analyst to take ownership of optimisation across our national network.

About the role

This is a high-impactrole focused on transport planning optimisation and analysis.

You'll work closely with operations, planners and leadership to review transport plans, analyse performance and improve outcomes - ensuring plans are practical, cost-effective and operationally efficient.

Lead and optimise transport planning outcomes across a national network

Review and challenge TMS (e.g. Blue Yonder) outputs to ensure practical execution

Deliver improvements in cost efficiency, load utilisation and service outcomes

Provide governance, standards and planning frameworks nationally

Partner with operations, logistics, finance and safety teams

Coach and uplift capability of transport planners

Support system enhancements and continuous improvement initiatives

About You

You're a commercially minded planning expert who thrives on solving complex optimisation challenges.

You will bring:

• Extensive experience in transport planning and optimisation
• In-depth expertise using TMS platforms (e.g. Blue Yonder, ORTEC or similar)
• Deep understanding of optimisation trade-offs and operational realities
• Ability to influence and translate data into action
• Comprehensive knowledge of Chain of Responsibility and compliance requirements

Highly Regarded

• Experience coaching & mentoring planning teams
• Exposure to national or multi-state logistics networks
• Impressive analytical skills (Power BI or similar)
• Background in FMCG, cold chain or time-critical logistics
