Job summary

Aurecon Group in Sydney, Newcastle or Canberra is seeking a Transport Planner/Traffic Engineer (mid to senior) to work on Transport Impact Assessments and strategic transport projects. This hands-on role offers direct client exposure, mentorship, and clear pathways to senior leadership.

You will collaborate with experienced practitioners, lead project delivery, and contribute to multimodal transport studies while developing technical and leadership capabilities within a respected Australian

Qualifications

5–10 years experience in transport planning or traffic engineering.
Experience preparing and reviewing Transport Impact Assessments.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Mentoring others and leading project delivery.

Responsibilities

Lead and deliver Transport Impact Assessments for complex development and infrastructure projects.
Contribute to strategic transport planning, active transport, and multimodal access studies.
Support or manage projects end-to-end, including scope, programme, budget, and risk.
Engage directly with clients, approval authorities, and stakeholders.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across Aurecon.
Contribute to winning work and growing trusted client relationships.
