Job summary

Talent Associates Recruitment Pty Ltd in Melbourne is seeking an experienced Senior Project Engineer to lead civil infrastructure projects in Victoria, delivering complex roads, transport and energy works with a strong focus on safety and quality.

You will provide engineering leadership, develop project programs, manage contracts and coordinate multidisciplinary teams, reporting to Project Managers and site supervisors.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering.
• Senior Project Engineer experience in civil infrastructure.
• Proven road construction experience.
• Strong project management and scheduling skills.
• Experience supervising subcontractors and coordinating multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Leading engineering activities across all stages of project delivery.
• Coordinating managers, supervisors, subcontractors and suppliers.
• Preparing project programs and supporting commercial performance.
• Ensuring compliance with design, specifications, temporary works and WHS.
• Providing technical guidance to site personnel and interpreting documentation.
• Participating in subcontract tender evaluations and scope reviews.
• Preparing progress, cost, manpower and procurement reports.
• Monitoring construction schedules, methods, manpower and equipment requirements.
• Identifying corrective actions to maintain project progress.
• Ensuring accuracy and currency of project reporting and schedule information.
• Overseeing inspection practices and mentoring engineers.
• Verifying temporary works designs and conducting progressive audits.
