Job summary

Aurecon is seeking a Senior Transport Planner/ Civil Engineer based in Adelaide to contribute to South Australian transport infrastructure projects. You will work within a collaborative team, delivering planning studies, road design input and robust technical documentation.

The role requires a Civil Engineering degree or transport planning qualifications with 7–12 years of relevant experience, strong writing skills, and the ability to engage with stakeholders across disciplines.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering or transport planning qualification.
• 7–12 years' experience delivering planning studies and civil infrastructure projects.
• Strong transport planning capability with road or general civil design experience desirable.
• Strong technical writing skills and the ability to clearly explain and defend engineering recommendations.
• A practical and adaptable approach with the ability to work across adjacent transport disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Deliver transport planning studies and options assessments for infrastructure projects.
• Contribute to road design, drainage and services impacts.
• Prepare robust reports, assessments and design documentation.
• Use engineering judgement to develop defensible technical responses.
• Review analyses and provide practical recommendations in project context.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, clients and government stakeholders.
• Support project delivery, bids and work-winning activities across South Australian transport market.
• Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers and designers.
