Job summary

Glencore’s Oaky Creek Coal at Tieri, QLD, is seeking a Senior Training Coordinator. You will manage site training systems, ensure compliance, forecast training needs and develop training packages for underground and surface coal mine workers.

The role reports to the Training Superintendent within a collaborative team. The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong safety culture, hold formal Assessment & Workplace Training qualifications, and have experience leading large teams.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated commitment to a high performing safety culture.
• Formal qualifications in Assessment & Workplace Training.
• Proven experience in a similar role in mining.
• Excellent planning and coordination under pressure.
• Strong reporting and written/verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement and coordinate site training systems for the operation.
• Audit training compliance and report findings across the site.
• Manage site training needs analysis, onboarding, and course forecasting.
• Develop and deliver training packages and plans for miners and staff.
• Support the Training Superintendent and coordinate a Training team.
