Glencore’s Oaky Creek Coal at Tieri, QLD, is seeking a Senior Training Coordinator. You will manage site training systems, ensure compliance, forecast training needs and develop training packages for underground and surface coal mine workers.

The role reports to the Training Superintendent within a collaborative team. The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong safety culture, hold formal Assessment & Workplace Training qualifications, and have experience leading large teams.

Reporting to the Training Superintendent, this opportunity exists for a highly motivated and experienced Senior Training Coordinator to join the team at Oaky Creek North Mine.

In this role, you will be responsible for:

• Developing, implementing, and coordinating sustainable systems to manage the site training requirements and associated activities effectively.
• Conducting audits and providing reports on training compliance across the operation.
• The management of the site training needs analysis, through skill development, refresher training, Training Days, course forecasting and onboarding.
• Development and facilitation of training packages, training plans for all coal mine workers.
• Implementing the Oaky Creek Coal closure Training strategy.
• Building and developing stakeholder relationships across Oaky Surface and Oaky North operations.
• Coordinating and supporting a Training team, reporting through to the Training Superintendent.

• Demonstrated commitment to a high performing safety culture.
• Formal qualifications in Assessment & Workplace Training with qualifications
• Proven experience in a similar role in an underground mining environment
• Excellent planning and coordination skills with the ability to operate under pressure
• Attention to detail in reporting and good written / verbal communication skills
• Previous experience leading teams and large workforce numbers.
