Job summary

Glencore's Oaky Creek Coal in Tieri, QLD, is hiring a Senior Training Coordinator to lead training program development, delivery and compliance across the site. You will drive sustainable training systems, audits, onboarding, and training packages for coal mine workers, while building strong stakeholder relationships and leading a training team.

The role requires a proven underground mining background, a strong safety culture, and excellent planning and reporting capabilities.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated commitment to a high performing safety culture.
• Formal qualifications in Assessment & Workplace Training with qualifications.
• Proven experience in a similar role in an underground mining environment.
• Excellent planning and coordination skills with the ability to operate under pressure.
• Attention to detail in reporting and good written/verbal communication skills.
• Previous experience leading teams and large workforce numbers.

Responsibilities

• Developing, implementing, and coordinating sustainable systems to manage site training requirements and activities.
• Audits and reports on training compliance across the operation.
• Manage site training needs analysis through skill development, refresher training, Training Days, forecasting and onboarding.
• Development and facilitation of training packages and plans for all coal mine workers.
• Implementing the Oaky Creek Coal closure Training strategy.
• Build and develop stakeholder relationships across Oaky Surface and Oaky North operations.
• Coordinate and support a Training team, reporting to the Training Superintendent.

Reporting to the Training Superintendent, this opportunity exists for a highly motivated and experienced Senior Training Coordinator to join the team at Oaky Creek North Mine.

In this role, you will be responsible for:

• The management of the site training needs analysis, through skill development, refresher training, Training Days, course forecasting and onboarding.

• Building and developing stakeholder relationships across Oaky Surface and Oaky North operations.
• Coordinating and supporting a Training team, reporting through to the Training Superintendent.

This is a Monday to Friday or 9-day fortnight rostered position.
