Job summary

Synergy is seeking a Principal Trading Systems Business Analyst for our Wholesale Business Unit, based at the Central Park, Perth office. You will translate complex business needs into actionable, testable requirements to enhance Synergy’s trading systems, coordinating with internal software development and testing teams.

The role works closely with trading, generation and commercial teams, developing UML-based domain models and presenting analyses to a broader audience while supporting $1+

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Senior Business Analyst in a complex software environment.
• Familiarity with OOAD and UML for domain modelling.
• Strong stakeholder engagement across multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain domain models, logic and functional design specs for trading software.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and tech teams to design and deliver trading system solutions.
• Drive continuous improvement of wholesale trading platforms through stakeholder engagement.
• Lead documentation and assessment of trading system controls to ensure compliance with WEM rules.
• Ensure design and documentation support decision-making, data capture and reporting.
