Job summary

Optus, an Australian telecommunications company, is seeking a Solution Architect in Macquarie Park, Sydney. You will shape the architecture and design of Optus’s IP network across mobile core systems, voice core, network management and other platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related discipline; Master’s degree or certs like CCNP/CCIE highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Architect and design IP network solutions for mobile core, voice core, network management and other telecommunications platforms and services.
• Develop routing and switching roadmaps, plans and strategies to support scalable, secure IP connectivity.
• Lead design and onboarding of new IP network devices and topologies, leveraging automation and intent-based networking tools.
• Provide technical direction and feedback during reviews and incidents, and support delivery milestones.
• Gather requirements with internal customers, projects, vendors and IP teams and document proposed solutions.
