Hays is seeking a Senior Field Technician in Mount Isa to install, maintain and fault-find telecommunications infrastructure and services.

This permanent, 38-hour week role offers hands-on field work across fibre, copper and HFC with opportunities to work on a broad range of telecom projects and ongoing service improvements. Located in Mount Isa, the role includes overtime as required and the chance to develop specialist field skills.

Qualifications

• ACMA cabling licence required.
• Current driver’s licence required.
• Cert III or Cert IV in Telecommunications.
• Recent telecommunications field experience.
• Strong installation, maintenance and fault-finding skills.
• Experience with fibre, copper, HFC or similar infrastructure.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work autonomously in a field-based environment.

Responsabilités

• Installation, repair and maintenance of telecommunications equipment.
• Fault finding and troubleshooting network and customer equipment.
• Working across fibre, copper and HFC infrastructure.
• Service activation and fault rectification.
• Network upgrades and preventative maintenance.
• Fibre splicing and cable termination.
• Responding to technical faults and service issues.
• Completing associated field reporting and documentation.
