Job summary

Queensland Health in Brisbane is seeking a Field Technician to support clinical and workshop environments with technical tasks, equipment handling and safety compliance.

Job description

• Comply with and utilise procedures, policies, regulations, and standards which impact upon the position including Code of Conduct for Queensland Public Service, contemporary human resource management requirements and practices, such as workplace health and safety, equal employment opportunity and anti-discrimination policy.
• Carry out general technical support activities which may include equipment receipt, packing, dispatch, pick-up and delivery (driving required); management of parts, consumables, test equipment and technical manuals; data entry and checking; cleaning of specialised workshop areas and equipment; and other miscellaneous workshop support activities as required.
• Manage disposal of used batteries/cables/retired equipment in line with clinical and environmental health regulations.
• Adhere to defined service quality standards, health and safety policies and procedures relating to the work being undertaken to ensure high quality, safe services and workplaces.
