Job summary

Xero is seeking a Senior Technical SEO Manager to own the technical SEO roadmap and analytics for xero.com. You will drive audits, partner with engineering to implement fixes, and shape how AI engines crawl and cite Xero across multiple markets.

You will build automated reporting, scale discovery with AI agents, and lead a team of SEO specialists in a flexible hybrid/remote setup across Australia and New Zealand.

Qualifications

• Deep, hands-on technical SEO expertise across crawl and indexation, internationalisation, rendering, schema markup and site architecture.
• Substantial SEO experience, ideally in a SaaS, technology brand or multi-regional site environment.
• Strong SEO analytics capability, including building reporting frameworks with tools like Screaming Frog, Ahrefs and Google suite.
• Hands-on with AI, building agents, automations or workflows to scale work.
• A systems thinker who sees how technical decisions ripple across content, product and business outcomes.
• Strong cross-functional influence, translating technical requirements into briefs for engineering.

Responsibilities

• Lead a full technical audit of the marketing website across markets, prioritised by business impact.
• Define and own the technical SEO roadmap, maintaining visibility across stakeholders.
• Partner with engineering to embed technical SEO best practices and deliver fixes.
• Own the SEO analytics function, build automated reporting and deliver strategic insights.
• Automate technical SEO workflows with AI agents to scale analysis and speed delivery.
