Job summary

The NCIS Technical Lead at the Department of Justice and Community Safety will lead the maintenance and ongoing operation of the National Coronial Information System. You will develop solutions, resolve technical issues and help keep the system secure, reliable and useful.

You will work with technical and business teams to design and deliver upgrades, manage incidents, and share knowledge to build in-house support capabilities, while explaining complex topics in plain language.

Qualifications

Senior-level experience delivering application support and development services.
Strong technical skills in Java, SQL and OCI with experience using software development methods.
Ability to find practical solutions to complex problems and improve systems over time.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical issues to non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

Lead the ongoing maintenance and operation of the NCIS application and supporting systems.
Design and deliver practical solutions, improvements and upgrades that meet business and user needs.
Manage incidents and provide senior technical support to resolve issues and defects.
Maintain high-quality technical documents and share knowledge to build in-house support skills.
