Job summary

Macquarie Government in Canberra seeks an experienced Technical Consultant to bridge technology, strategy and government. You’ll translate complex challenges into practical cloud and cyber security solutions and partner with the Government Sales team to identify opportunities.

Working with sales, architecture and engineering, you will shape bids, roadmaps and business cases, influence senior officials, and help expand Macquarie Government's service offerings across Federal and State agencies.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in IT&T with senior technical consulting or pre-sales experience.
• Experience across Federal and/or State Government environments.
• Strong expertise in Cloud and Cyber Security with complex solution design.
• Experience developing technical proposals, business cases, roadmaps and Statements of Work.
• Exposure to major technology platforms and vendors such as Netskope, Splunk, Fortinet, VMware, AWS and/or Azure.
• Excellent presentation, communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Engineering or Computer Science degree, or equivalent industry experience.
• Australian Citizenship and NV1 security clearance required.

Responsibilities

• Translate complex business challenges into practical technology solutions.
• Develop strategic roadmaps and business cases through to designing complex solutions.
• Lead major bids and contribute to shaping future service offerings.
• Collaborate with Sales, Product, Architecture and Engineering teams to win opportunities.
