Job summary

Allura Partners is seeking a Senior Technical Business Analyst to join the IT Program Delivery Team on a permanent basis in Sydney. This hands-on role reports to the Program Manager and requires deep technical BA expertise to translate complex requirements into developer-ready artefacts across business, architecture and delivery stakeholders.

You will lead technical workshops, map current and future state processes, and produce BRDs/FRDs and interface designs.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to manage multiple stakeholders and translate complex concepts into actionable specs.
• Extensive experience delivering software across the full SDLC in enterprise environments.
• Strong understanding of Agile delivery practices and backlog management in Jira.
• Experience producing technical diagrams and documentation using Mural, Miro and Visio.

• Lead workshops and technical design sessions to translate business needs into specifications.
• Map current and future state processes, identify gaps, and define system behaviours and integrations.
• Produce developer-ready documentation including BRDs, FRDs, interface specs and solution designs.

About The Role

We’re recruiting a Senior Technical Business Analyst to join the IT Program Delivery Team on a permanent basis. This is a hands-on, technically-focused role reporting to the Program Manager, with no direct reports. You’ll bring deep technical BA expertise to translate complex requirements into developer-ready artefacts, while working confidently across a broad range of business, architecture and delivery stakeholders to keep everyone aligned.

Duties / Key Responsibilities

• Lead workshops and technical design sessions, translating business needs into clear, implementable specifications for a range of stakeholders
• Map current and future state processes, identify gaps, and define system behaviours and integrations
• Produce developer-ready documentation including BRDs, FRDs, interface specs and solution designs
• Support agile delivery through epic refinement, story breakdown and backlog management in Jira
• Partner closely with architects, developers and testers, acting as a key technical liaison to ensure solutions are buildable and fit for purpose

Skills and Experience

• 8+ years' experience as a hands-on Technical Business Analyst in complex, enterprise environments
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts for both business and technical audiences
• Full SDLC and Agile delivery experience, with strong Jira proficiency
• Proven experience producing technical documentation and diagrams using Mural, Miro and Visio
• Demonstrated experience mentoring or uplifting BA practice standards
• Unrestricted Australian work rights required
