Job summary

IBC Recruitment is assisting a leading financial services organisation in Sydney on a 12-month initial contract for a Senior Business Analyst. The role sits in Sydney CBD with hybrid work arrangements and focuses on cross-functional transformation initiatives in an Agile environment.

You will drive end-to-end business and technical analysis, including process mapping, user story development, and stakeholder engagement across enterprise programmes.

Qualifications

• 8+ years’ experience as a Business Analyst at senior level.
• Proven ability to write user stories, epics and acceptance criteria in Agile environments.
• Engages and influences senior stakeholders across business and technology teams.
• Experience in Agile delivery (Scrum, Kanban) with delivery lifecycles.
• Excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end business analysis activities ensuring alignment between business needs and technical delivery.
• Facilitate workshops with cross-functional stakeholders including technical teams.
• Develop high-quality user stories, epics, and acceptance criteria for Agile delivery.
• Partner with Product Owners, SMEs, and delivery teams to support backlog refinement and sprint planning.
• Translate complex business requirements into clear functional and non-functional specifications.
• Support system implementations and enhancements.
• Collaborate with testing teams to define test scenarios and support UAT.
• Contribute to change impact assessments and stakeholder engagement activities.
• Drive continuous improvement across processes, tools, and delivery practices.

We are seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst to join a leading financial services organisation in Sydney on a contract basis. This role will play a key part in delivering cross-functional transformation initiatives working closely with business and technology teams in a fast-paced Agile environment.

You will be responsible for driving end-to-end technical and business analysis, with a strong focus on process mapping, user story development, and stakeholder engagement across complex, enterprise-wide programs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead end-to-end business analysis activities ensuring alignment between business needs and technical delivery
• Facilitate workshops with cross-functional stakeholders including technical teams
• Develop high-quality user stories, epics, and user acceptance criteria, ensuring readiness for Agile delivery
