Job summary

BIG W seeks a seasoned Category Manager to drive end-to-end management for our technology category, including private label and national brands. You will lead sourcing, negotiate with suppliers, and curate customer-centric ranges that align with our brand.

Strong financial mindset and leadership will shape the product offering and team culture. You’ll work closely with the Head of Commercial in a hybrid role based in Bella Vista, balancing growth with responsible margins and market

Qualifications

• Strong background in end-to-end category management with own brand/private label experience.
• Proven ability to lead, mentor, and empower high-performing teams.
• Experience managing national brands and large-scale retail categories.
• Experience as a commercial buyer or category manager for a technology portfolio.

Responsibilities

• Shape category strategy: Build and execute category mission aligning with BIG W business plan.
• Lead sourcing, supplier performance, and negotiations across national brands and own label.
• Curate seasonal ranges and manage product data to stay aligned with brand identity.
• Drive financial outcomes: stock optimization and overall business plan delivery.
• Develop pricing and positioning strategies while monitoring competitor activity.
