Job summary

Big W is seeking a seasoned category leader for a full-time, permanent role based in Bella Vista with hybrid options (2 days WFH). You will drive end-to-end category management for BIG W’s technology, stationery, home office and audio-visual ranges.

Lead category strategy, sourcing, supplier partnerships and customer-centric range curation while delivering strong financial results. You’ll shape pricing, margin strategies and stay ahead of market trends to fuel growth.

Qualifications

• Experience in end-to-end category management for retail/commercial teams.
• Strong financial acumen and ability to manage budgets and P&L.
• Leadership experience with mentoring high-performing teams.

Responsibilities

• Drive end-to-end category management balancing private label with national brands.
• Shape category strategy using customer insights and market trends.
• Lead sourcing, supplier performance and negotiations across vendors.
• Curate customer-centric ranges with data management and brand alignment.
• Drive category financial outcomes, stock optimization and business plan delivery.
• Develop pricing and positioning strategies while monitoring competitor activity.
