Job summary

BIG W is seeking a Category Manager for Drinks, Snacks, and Confectionery to drive the evolution of the category and lead a high-performing team. You will own product, price, promotion and placement while collaborating with internal teams and external partners to deliver strong commercial results.

Responsibilities include building category strategy with customer insights, curating ranges, and optimizing supplier relationships.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Category Manager in a large retail or FMCG environment.
• Demonstrated success in developing and executing customer-focused category plans.
• Strong negotiation and influence skills with stakeholders at all levels.
• Ability to become an industry expert in Australia within the category.

Responsibilities

• Own all aspects of product, price, promotion and placement within the category.
• Lead and empower a high-performing team to achieve sales growth, profitability and market share.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to deliver commercial results.
• Partner with Senior Category Manager to build category strategy using customer insights and market data.
• Curate ranges, refine pricing/promotion plans aligned to category strategy.
