Job summary

Amazon Commercial Services Pty Ltd in Sydney is seeking a Senior Category Manager to own category P&L, lead key vendor negotiations, and drive growth across Australia’s retail landscape. This in-office, full-time role requires strategic thinking, cross-functional influence, and a track record in delivering commercial outcomes.

You will analyse data, set strategic direction, manage investments, and collaborate with Marketing, Finance, Supply Chain and Brand teams to maximise customer value.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree; 7+ years in account management, project/program management or buying.
• Experience in business analysis and P&L management.
• Strong vendor negotiations, pricing and promotion experience.

Responsibilities

• Own Category Strategy & P&L with data-driven, customer-centric approach.
• Curate selection, drive ranging, and forecast items across direct/indirect supply.
• Lead supplier negotiations for terms, pricing and exclusive access to new products.
• Drive pricing, promotions, and demand planning with cross-functional teams.
• Analyze data, build business cases, and translate insights into strategies.
• Oversee day-to-day operations, data accuracy and regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate, mentor, and advocate for cross-functional teams; embrace AI/tools.
