Strategic Tax & Business Solutions in Caboolture seeks a qualified accountant to join our small boutique firm. You will handle BAS, financial statements, and tax returns for client portfolios and liaise with the ATO as needed.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor degree in accounting, about three years in a client-facing role, and proficiency with XERO, MYOB, BGL and Handisoft; partnership opportunities and negotiable hours/pay.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in accounting required.
• 3 years client-facing public practice accounting experience.
• Experience with BAS, financial statements and tax returns.
• Experience interacting with the ATO and regulatory authorities.
• Proficient in XERO, MYOB, BGL and Handisoft.

About Us: Strategic Tax and Business Solutions is a small boutique firm, founded in 2013. Since then the firm has grown steadily to become one of the most experienced and reputable firms in the Caboolture area.

The firm is heavily committed to the ongoing development of the accounting team. This has contributed to helping the firm achieve a high level of client satisfaction and expand through regular client referrals. About the Role: We are seeking a qualified accountant to join our team.

Bachelor Degree level qualifications in Accounting will be needed, and ideally three years experience in a client facing role. The successful candidate will preferably have:

• 3 years of related work experience in a similar public practice accounting role
• Experience with all entity types including SMSFs
• Experience preparing BAS statements, Financial Statements and Tax Returns
• Experience interacting with the ATO and other regulatory authorities
• Be proficient in the use of XERO, MYOB, BGL and Handisoft software
• Competent in the use of Microsoft Office 365 and Outlook
• Confident and professional communication skills.
• Ability to operate independently and honestly both with and without supervision.

Review and assist junior accountants

• Ability to work in a small team .
