Job summary

Strategic Tax & Business Solutions in Caboolture, QLD, is seeking a qualified accountant for a permanent full-time role. The candidate will join a small team, review and assist junior accountants, and handle client-facing accounting tasks with solid experience in BAS, financial statements, and tax returns.

Required: Bachelor degree in Accounting, 3 years in a client-facing public practice role, proficiency with Xero, MYOB, BGL and Handisoft, and strong MS Office skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree level qualifications in Accounting will be needed, and ideally three years experience in a client facing role.
• 3 years of related work experience in a similar public practice accounting role
• Experience with all entity types including SMSFs
• Experience preparing BAS statements, Financial Statements and Tax Returns
• Experience interacting with the ATO and other regulatory authorities
• Be proficient in the use of XERO, MYOB, BGL and Handisoft software
• Competent in the use of Microsoft Office 365 and Outlook
• Confident and professional communication skills.
• Ability to operate independently and honestly both with and without supervision.
