You will work with infrastructure, network, security and service desk teams, contribute to technology initiatives, and mentor junior engineers while ensuring reliable delivery of EUC services.
This public-sector organisation delivers criminal, civil and community justice services, working towards a fair, safe and inclusive society. Its work includes safeguarding vulnerable people, addressing the over-representation of First Nations people in the criminal justice system, responding to domestic, family and sexual violence, and minimising gambling harm. Its technology services team provides information and communications technology services, advice and support across the organisation. The team is working to evolve its services to meet future needs, while supporting staff and enabling reliable delivery of justice services. Collaboration, public service and a focus on equitable outcomes are central to this work.
Two (2) Senior Systems Administrators are sought for contract opportunities based in Brisbane CBD, with the possibility of extension. You will provide tier-three support and engineering for enterprise end-user computing (EUC) technologies, helping to maintain a reliable and secure managed operating environment across desktop, laptop and mobile devices. Working closely with infrastructure, network, security and service desk teams, you will scope, configure, test, deploy and maintain EUC services, taking account of related systems and operational processes. The role also covers administration of Microsoft 365 services, software packaging and deployment, incident investigation and remediation, and improvements to existing services. You will work with internal stakeholders and external government entities, contribute to technology initiatives and testing, and support junior engineers and technicians.
You will bring hands-on engineering and operational experience managing enterprise end-user computing environments, including managed operating environments, application packaging and mobile device management. Experience supporting desktops, laptops, mobiles and tablets is important, as is the ability to administer Microsoft 365 services and investigate complex EUC incidents through to resolution. You will have worked in an ITIL-based environment and be comfortable collaborating with service desk, application, infrastructure, network and security teams. Experience with ServiceNow, software deployment and automation, and supporting Microsoft Teams voice and meeting-room services will be valuable. The role also calls for clear communication with clients and other stakeholders, a continuous-improvement mindset, and the ability to share knowledge with less experienced colleagues.
