Job summary

Woolpert is seeking a Senior Surveyor to join our Melbourne team, delivering precise surveying for built-form construction projects.

You will set out, verify, and document survey data while supporting engineering teams, mentoring junior staff, and ensuring safety and quality on site.

Qualifications

• University qualification or TAFE Diploma in Surveying.
• Minimum of 3 years of practical experience in construction surveying.
• Extensive knowledge of surveying instruments and software (e.g., 12d software, AutoCAD, Leica Survey equipment).
• A valid driver’s license and White Card.
• Experience in communicating with clients and understanding their requirements.
• Ability to multitask and work independently.

Responsibilities

• Performing calculations, set out, as-builts and verification tasks for structural elements, gridlines, and services on built-form projects.
• Providing accurate plans, measurements, calculations, and reports to support engineering and construction teams.
• Managing survey equipment, software, and data management systems (e.g., Leica, AutoCAD, Civil 3D).
• Using surveying equipment (e.g., total stations, GPS, theodolites) to measure angles, distances, and elevation.
• Leading and mentor junior staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development aligned with company goals.

We are looking for a Senior Surveyor to joinourhighperforming Melbourne team. Reporting to theMelbourneSurvey Manager,you will beexecuting precise surveying tasks on built-form construction projects. This role involvessetout,verification, as built and documentation of survey data to support engineering and construction projects.

You will be:

We’relooking for someone who has:

• University qualification or TAFE Diploma in Surveying.
• Aminimum of3 years of practical experience in construction surveying, specifically in high-rise or built-form projects.
• Extensive knowledgeofsurveying instruments and software (e.g., 12d software, AutoCAD, Leica Survey equipment)
• A valid driver’s license andWhiteCard.
• Experience in communicating with clients and understanding their requirements.
• Ability to multitask and work independently.

With this role,thesuccessful candidate must successfully pass pre-employment background and drug screening.Periodic drug testing may berequiredper company policy.
